President’s Message
Kuruhina Setty community is one of the weavers’ community in the society. From time immemorial the people belonging to this community were engaged in weaving cloths of all kinds. To day with the advent technology, the traditional weaving has almost disintegrated rendering the people jobless and leading to distress living conditions.
The community is a minority and backward, economically, politically, socially and last but not least educationally.
All though, boys are given some importance in education the girls are the neglected lot.
In the backdrop of this situation, in order to help the poor girls a Trust has been registered, to support the Higher Education education.
registered, to support the Higher Education education. The above Trust came into existence on 17.08.2014, to support the poor girls higher education more particularly from rural parts. Since its inception the Trust has been successful in identifying the eligible poor girls of the community and extending the financial support to meet their hostel expenditure from the commencement of the Course till completion of the course.
So far the Trust has been able to identify 123 such girl students and supported.
The vision of the Trust is to help more and more poor girl students to pursue their higher education.
Support the students morally and financially to complete the education and be independent,
The philosophy is, an “Educated Women is an Asset to the Nation”.
