Interviews 2021

The Trust is conducting interview on 30-Oct-2021 to select eligible Girl Students to Sponsor Hostel/ PG Facility.

Interviews Conducted

The Trust conducted interviews of eligible poor girl students of the Community for providing Hostel / Paying guest facility at the places of their study during this academic year 2018-19. Outcome will be communicated within a week.

UP COMING EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

The Trust has been conducting Anniversaries every year to mark the celebration of success and to present the progress to the Donors and the General public. This is to bring in more transparency and also to create confidence and trust in Trust, in the minds of the donors and the prospective donors. Accordingly the Trustees have proposed to conduct the third/ fourth anniversary of the Trust in the month of Oct-Nov 2018.

IMPORTANT EVENTS AND PROGRAMMES

1a. The Trust conducted the second Anniversary on 21.01.2017 at Karnataka Jain Bhavan, K,R.Road, Bengaluru. The Function was attended by Smt. Renuka Butta, Member of the Parliament, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Incidentally she is the first MP of the Community from the Community in the independent India. She graced the function and addressed the large audience and highlighted the importance of Education and more so the girls. She also said that in the back drop of this, it is good that a Trust is created in this direction and this would benefit the poor girls and the parents to take the financial assistance to educate the girls. Education is the only solution to eradicate the poverty prevalent in the society. Smt. Butta Renuka was felicitated and honored by the Trust. 1b. During the year the Trustees have toured places like Hassan, Chikmagalur, Mudigere, Bellary, Rayadurga(AP), Gangavathi and various other places to meet the people and bring to their notice about the Trust and its Vision and Mission.

SANCTION OF HOSTEL FACILITY

The Trust invited applications from the eligible Girls students to provide Hostel facility and conducted interviews on 10.09.2017, sanctioned the Facility to eighteen poor girl students. Accordingly, they are issued with sanctioned letters towards the facility. Students residing in college Hostels or Paying Guest are provided with financial assistance to the extent of Rs.1500/- (One thousand five hundred only) per moth from the commencement of the Course till completion of Degree.

OTHER EVENTS AND DEVELOPMENTS

We are constantly endeavoring to get a site allotted to the Trust by the Government. As per the assurance given by the Chief Minister of Karnataka, during the State level conference at Hassan, a site measuring 100 ftx100 ft is being considered to be allotted. We, are hoping, this would materialize very soon. Allotment of site to the Trust will be a land mark achievement and that would go a long way in the History of the Trust. The site if allotted would be used to construct a Hostel exclusively for Girls of Kuruhina Setty Community.
